Downstairs

As you enter the chalet from the door off the rear patio you enter a small hallway with coat hooks and electric boot warmer. Through another door leads you to the open plan living area. To the right of the stairs is a door leading to the downstairs toilet, with an access door to the family sauna and shower room. As you walk further into the chalet pass the gas heater you enter the living area. Here you will find a large sofa (which folds into a double bed). Also we have a flat screen smart TV, which picks up many local channels. Underneath this TV unit is the welcome books and many leaflets of places to go to eat, ski, etc. There is a local baker who will deliver fresh bread etc to the chalet and the local hotel has left their menu as they also will deliver to the chalet. Across the other side of this room is the Kitchen area, which is fitted with everything you would need for a self catering holiday. There is a cooker, with hobs, a large fridge with freezer compartment. We have provided a kettle, toaster, sandwich toaster, coffee filter unit and next to the sink a washing machine and dryer. The kitchen units are full of all the crockery, glasses, pots and pans and cutlery you will need. Next to the kitchen is the dining area with a large table and a corner bench and two chairs. We have also provided a high chair for our younger guests. The main floor area throughout the chalet is heated with under floor heating; this includes the downstairs toilet and the conservatory. In the conservatory (which is often used as the third bedroom) you will find another large sofa which folds to become another double bed. Also in this room are a couple of single chairs and a coffee table. A door from the conservatory leads outside onto the front decked area.

Upstairs

At the top of the stairs you will find a small landing area, off this is the family bathroom with basin, toilet and Jacuzzi bath with shower over. This room also has under floor heating. The door to the rear of the landing leads to the second bedroom with two single beds, a window over looking the back of the chalet and storage and hanging space, including the chalet safe. The door of the landing to the front of the chalet leads to the main bedroom, which has two single beds fitted together and again plenty of shelving, storage and hanging space. This room has a door leading outside to the upstairs balcony with view down over the valley. We have provided a small table and a couple of chairs for your use as well as outside lighting.

Outside

As well as the upstairs balcony and chairs already mentioned, a door from the conservatory downstairs opens and leads you onto the front outside patio area. There is also a rear patio and we have provided a large table and many chairs along with a charcoal bbq and outside lighting. Next to the chalet is a parking area for 2 cars. The small complex has around 50 chalets evenly spaced on different levels across the site.

Shops,Bars and Resturants

Our chalet is a short drive from a small selection of shops, bars, restaurants and a bank in the village of Stadl an der Mur. The local hotel is very welcoming for non guests and also does meal deliveries to the chalet. Slightly further a field in the town of Murau you will find many different shops, supermarkets, bars, restaurants, etc.

Winter

The Chalet is situated near 3 main ski resorts. The nearest being the Kreischberg ski resort which is only a 10 minute drive away. The ski lifts open at 8.30am until 4.30pm with 29km of skiing up to heights of 2200 meters. This is a very snow sure ski resort suitable for the whole family. The next ski resort is Turracher Hoe (38km of skiing), which is about a 20 minute drive and then slightly further away is the large ski resort of Obertaurne, with 100km of ski pistes and a slightly longer ski season lasting into early May. Further details of these and others in our area can be found on the web site www.bergfex.com

Summer

The location of our ski chalet could not be better for the summer season. There are a large number of activities available in the local area. A local lake is cleaned and becomes a summer swimming lake with sand beaches. There is a fantastic 18 hole golf course next to the Kreischberg ski resort and the gondola operates a couple of times per week to take people to the top of the mountain for the scenery and walks. There is also locally.. horse riding, mountain bike routes (including the largest in Europe), fishing, climbing, walking, etc.
